We offer both hand sewn & printed Union Coffin Drapes, all made in our very own manufacturing facility, here in North Yorkshire, UK.
The drapes are a standard size of 7'6" x 3'9" (230cm x 115cm).
Our hand sewn Union Coffin Drapes are manufactured from our 155gsm woven polyester flag fabric. The 31 individual pieces of fabric are hand cut to MoD & Flag institute patterns and stitched together with a flat felled seam to create a strong and durable finished product.
Our screen printed Union Coffin Drapes are normally manufactured from 160gsm woven polyester flag fabric, we also offer digitally printed Unions in some sizes.
All our Union Coffin Drapes are hemmed on all 4 sides.
I ordered a Union Jack Coffin Drape for my Dads recent funeral just in case the MOD didn't send one in time. I contacted Chris through the website and asked if it was possible to somehow add in the Royal Artillery Crest to the Drape. He replied really quickly and said this was possible to do and he would get some artwork together which he also did quickly so I could choose which one I would prefer. Chris incorporated the emblem beautifully into the Drape at each corner of the red cross so that it was seen in each direction and of course was not obstructed by the flower arrangements. Also this was done at no extra cost to me. The quality of the material is really thick and strong and not cheap feeling. The colours are vibrant and the crest was beautifully placed. We decided it was so lovely that we chose to use this one instead of the one provided by the MOD and of course we have it to always keep in memory of. I highly recommend this store and website and would like to say thank you so much for the prompt replies, the designs and for sending it so quickly to Wales in time for my dads funeral. It really set everything off as we imagined it to be as we also had military attendance. Thank you very much.
